A plea and case management hearing is to be held today in the murder case involving Corporal Dwayne Smart.
Smart is charged with the shooting death of 27-year-old Kay-Ann Lamont in Yallahs Square, St. Thomas.
Smart has been in custody since September 1.
It is reported that Lamont, and the policeman got into an altercation after he attempted to arrest her for using indecent language.
During the scuffle, the pregnant woman was reportedly shot twice in the head by the policeman.
Her sister was also shot and injured in the incident.
Smart is being represented by Attorney-at-law Valerie Neita Robertson.
