Police Brutality is the intentional use of excessive force, usually physical, but potentially also in the form of verbal attacks and psychological intimidation, by a police officer.
Junior Alexander Manon, an 18 year old boy who resided in Shoreham, Jane and Finch, was brutally beaten by the police. He died before the ambulance even arrived; they broke his neck.
This group is created to commemorate him but supports all other victims that have had first hand experience of Police Brutality. We demand the truth and justice for Junior and for all other victims of Police Brutality and Corruption. We want more supervision of our police and assurance in their abilities to uphold the peace, as well as justice served for those officers that have committed or been a part of crimes against the community, such as this.
